Competition: PreO Sprint. The event is part of the CHIS TrailO Cup 2023.

PreO Sprint is the newest TrailO discipline.

It differs from the PreO discipline:

• The time limit is calculated as 1 minute per control and 1 minute per each 30 meters of the course.
• All controls are AZ, which means that only one flag is set for each control, which can be in the right place (answer A) or not (answer Z).
• There are no time controls. Competitors with the same number of points are classified according to their time on the course, with the time of Elite P competitors multiplied by 0.85 and the time of Elite PW competitors multiplied by 0.7.
• Penalty of 1 point for each 1 min or fraction used past the maximum allowed time.

Classes: Elite (O - open, P - physically challenged, PW - physically challenged on wheelchair, J - juniors). Elite PW class = manual wheelchair users only, Elite P class = electric wheelchairs and other competitors with P class eligibility.

Special symbol: the elongated stone structure is mapped with a rock face symbol, but in the descriptions it is shown as a stone wall.

The map is not updated. At this time of year, the vegetation is very green, which greatly limits the visibility of the terrain. In addition, forestry work was carried out on part of the terrain. So do not rely too much on vegetation symbols such as undergrowth.

Terrain:

Rakov Škocjan is the name of a landscape park and karst valley at the northern foot of Javorniki measuring 2.5 x 0.5 km. This was created by the collapse and demolition of the ceiling of the karst cave. This is evidenced by the 42 m high Small Natural Bridge, the 37 m high Large Natural Bridge and the gorges behind them. Therefore, there are many features that can be found on steeper karst terrains (rock faces, boulders, stony grounds and various relief forms).

Course:

27 AZ controls on the course long 90 m divided into 3 sections.

Before entering each section, wait for the marshall-s signal at the STOP signs. 

There are no marked viewing points.

Zero tolerance is 4 metres without exceptions and 8 metres for the controls on a longer distance than 100 m.

Time limits:

• O & J: 30 min.
• P: 36 min.
• PW: 43 min.

Program:

• 10.00 - opening of the Event Centre
• 11.00 - start of the competition
• 14.30 - prize giving ceremony

Path:

The path is a good gravel road. Please move only along the west edge of the road, as crossing the road will not help you in the competition, and it can be very dangerous with unrestricted traffic.

Organizers will not provide any assistant. If you need an assistent on the course, please arrange your own assistant. 

Event Center:

The Event Center is next to the Pre-start.

You can reach the Event Center via the main macadam road from the nearest parking place (see the Overview map). Competitors are allowed transportation through the Embargoed Area with their own vehicle, considering Fair Play (without stopping and observing the terrain).

Recording system: Control cards and punchers will be used. Please, bring your own puncher. It will be possible to borrow a puncher.

Entries: OO.net until September 18^th.

Entry fees:

Elite class (O, P, PW): 10 EUR.

Elite class (J): 8 EUR.

Entry fees for the entries after deadline will be 50% higher.

Payments for entry fees can be made only by bank transfer.

At payment by bank transfer please write in the purpose of payment your name or your club name if the payment will be made for the whole team. Please, bring the proof of the payment to the Event Centre where you will receive the receipt of payment.

Last information:

• There will be no start list. Competitors will be able to start every full minute between 11:00 and 12:00.
• Competitors will also start on the full minutes in the other two starts.
• Before the start in each of the three sections of the course, competitors must wait on the signal of the marshall at the STOP sign.
• Viewing points will not be marked on the terrain.
• Marshalls will perform their work at the starts and finishes. If the marshall will not be present at the finish line, notify her or him of your arrival to the finish.
• Maps will be printed on paper. You will receive a transparent map folder at the start.

Tekmovanje: PreO Sprint. Tekma je del Slovenske PreO lige in CHIS TrailO Cup 2023.

PreO Sprint je najnovejša disciplina precizne orientacije.

Od PreO discipline se razlikuje:

• ÄŒasovni limit se obračuna kot 1 minuta za kontrolo in 1 minuta za vsakih 30 metrov proge.
• Vse kontrole so AZ, kar pomeni, da je na terenu postavljena le ena zastavica za vsako kontrolo, ki je lahko postavljena na pravo mesto (odgovor A) ali ne (odgovor Z).
• ÄŒasovnih kontrol ni. Tekmovalci z istim so razvršÄeni po času, ki so ga potrebovali na progi, kjer se časi tekmovalcev Elite P pomnožijo z 0,85 in časi tekmovalcev Elite PW z 0,7.
• Kazen 1 točke za vsako 1 minuto ali njen del, ki ga tekmovalec porabi prek dovoljenega maksimalnega časa.

Kategorije: Elite (O - odprto, P - invalidi, PW - invalidi na vozičkih, J - mladinci). Elite PW kategorija = samo uporabniki ročnih invalidskih vozičkov, Elite P kategorija = električni invalidski vozički in drugi tekmovalci z upravičenostjo do P kategorije.

Karte: Slivški lazi, 1 : 3000 (povečana karta iz merila 1 : 4000) / 2 m, ISSprOM 2019-2

Posebni znak: podaljšana kamnita struktura je kartirana z znakom za skalnati skok, vendar je v opisih kontrol prikazana kot kamniti zid.

Karta ni posodobljena. V tem letnem času je vegetacija zelo zelena, kar zelo omejuje preglednost terena. Poleg tega so bila na terenu opravljena gozdarska dela. Zato ne zaupajte preveč oznakam vegetacije, kot je na primer podrastje.

Teren:

Rakov Škocjan je ime krajinskega parka in kraška dolina ob severnem vznožju Javornikov velikosti 2,5 x 0,5 km. Ta je nastala z udiranjem in rušenjem stropa kraške jame. To dokazujeta 42 m visoki Mali naravni most, 37 m visoki Veliki naravni most ter soteski za njima. Zato je na območju veliko objektov, ki jih je mogoče najti na strmejših kraških terenih (skalni skoki, kamni, kamnita območja in različne reliefne oblike).

Proga:

27 AZ kontrol na progi dolžine 90 m je razdeljena na 3 odsekih.

Preden vstopite v posamezen odsek, pri STOP znaku počakajte na znak sodnika.

Točke opazovanja niso označene.

Zero toleranca je 4 metre brez izjem in 8 metrov za kontrole, ki so oddaljene več kot 100 m.

Pot:

Pot je dobra pešÄena cesta. Prosimo, da s gibate le ob zahodnem robu ceste, saj vam prečkanje ceste ne bo v pomoč na tekmovanju, poleg tega je ob neomejenem prometu lahko zelo nevarno. 

Organizator ne bo zagotovil nobenega asistenta. V kolikor potrebujete asistenta na progi, si ga prosimo priskrbite sami. 

Tekmovalni center:

Tekmovalni center je poleg Pre-starta.

Do tekmovalnega centra lahko pridete po glavni makadamski cesti z najbližjega parkirišÄa (glej Pregledno karto). Tekmovalcem je dovoljeno prečkati Prepovedano območje z lastnim vozilom ob upoštevanju Fair Playa (brez ustavljanja in opazovanja terena).

Beleženje odgovorov: Kontrolni kartoni in luknjači bodo uporabljeni za beleženje odgovorov. Prosimo, da prinesete lastne luknjače. Luknjači bodo na voljo za izposojo.

Elite kategorija (J): 8 EUR.

Štartnine za prijave po roku bodo 50% višje.

Plačilo štartnine lahko opravite le z bančnim nakazilom.

Zadnje informacije:

• Startne liste ne bo. Tekmovalci bodo lahko startali vsako polno minuto med 11. in 12. uro.
• Na polne minute bodo tekmovalci startali tudi na preostalih dveh startih.
• Pred startom v vsakem izmed treh odsekov proge morajo tekmovalci pri znaku STOP počakati na sodnikov znak.
• Točke opazovanja na terenu ne bodo označene.
• Sodniki bodo svoje delo opravljali na startih in ciljih. ÄŒe sodnik ne bo prisoten na cilju, ga na svoj prihod na cilj opozorite.
• Karte bodo natisnjene na papir. Prozorno mapico za karte boste dobili na startu.
